FAQ

What is Auto Detailing?

Auto Detailing is the process of thoroughly cleaning the interior and exterior parts of your vehicle. Detailing your car means maintaining your car, by protecting it from salt, stains, grease, dirt, odour, scratches, swirl marks and much more.

Detailing results in the car being stored back to show room quality condition. Not only does it help enhance the car’s appearance, it also helps preserve its wear and tear.

How often do I need detailing?

Detailing needs vary depending on how often the vehicle is being used, as well as weather conditions. We recommend to hand wash your car at least once a month to prevent salt stains from accumulating in the winter, and dirt stains from accumulating in the summer. It is highly recommended to detail your car at least twice a year.

What is Clay Bar?

The Clay Bar treatment removes surface contamination on the paint even after it has been washed. This treatment is an effective way to remove bugs, tree sap, tar, brake dust and several other dirt particles that are not visible to the naked eye.

Clay bar is the perfect prep for a polish. Before we clean the paint and remove swirl marks, it is important that we clean the surface of the paint in order to bring out the real color, natural shine and velvety smoothness. We recommend the clay bar treatment to be done at least twice a year. In addition to many of its benefits, this treatment also helps prevent rust caused by the contaminants that are getting oxidized.

How can you determine whether or not your car needs the clay bar treatment? Easy. Simply run your hand across the paint. If it feels rough, your car is due for a clay bar treatment.

Can Scratches be removed?

If a scratch is too deep and has cut through the paint, then it cannot be removed. However, surface scratches on the clear coat can be removed with our 3 stage buffing and wet sanding process.

How can you determine if the scratch is removable? Easy. Simply run your finger across the scratch. If your nails get stuck in between the scratch, then it is too deep. For more accurate inspection, bring your car by and we’ll be able to better examine it for you.

What is Machine Polish?

Machine Polish is like a sealant that is applied on the surface on a vehicle to protect the paint from imperfections, such as scratches, swirl marks and oxidation. Polishing creates a protective layer on top of the clear coat to block Ultraviolet rays which can easily fade the color of your car’s paint. Car enthusiasts polish their cars to protect it from fading and rusting, which ultimately helps extend the car’s life.

How long does detailing take?

It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle. We recommend our customers leave their car for the full day to give us enough time to dry and re-inspect the car for any imperfections before we hand it back to you. Generally, it takes about 1 hour for a Silver package, 3-4 hours for a Gold package and 4-6 hours for a Platinum package.

Can I leave my car overnight?

Yes! We have fully secured and insured garage space, where you can leave your car overnight worry-free. There is no extra charge for the first day. However, depending on the circumstances, there could be extra charges for any additional days.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Appointments are not required for simple services, such as a hand wash. However, most people often book appointments for complete detailing to secure their time that particular day. We recommend our clients to call in before they bring their vehicles to make sure we have slots open on that particular day.
